As Angela gets ready for her trip to Greece, she entrusts her grandson Lance to the care of Frank Agretti, her dependable foreman. Meanwhile, Emma finds herself trapped in a tumultuous marriage to Daniel, an unsuccessful author who has succumbed to gambling and violence. Seeking solace, she turns to Charley for comfort. In a bid for freedom, Richard agrees to testify against his accomplice, Michael Sharpe, narrowly escaping an assassination attempt. Tragedy strikes when Maggie accidentally drowns after getting her finger caught in a pool drain. In the midst of it all, Angela hires a private investigator to watch Pilar.
