Episode Overview
Lynn drops her complaint, clearing the way for Bea’s release. The inmates throw a farewell party for Bea and Mum, who entrusts her beloved garden to Lynn. Mum is let out into the care of her daughter, Lorraine, while Eddie gives Bea a ride into town. Meanwhile, Meg and Bill clash with their teenage son Marty, who insists on moving in with his girlfriend. With Bea gone, Franky seizes control of the press and declares herself in charge. Greg urges Karen to appeal her sentence, pointing out her husband’s abuse. Lynn begins a hunger strike, demanding her innocence be believed. But Mum’s daughter rejects her, forcing Mum into a shabby bedsit. Bea enjoys a luxurious first night of freedom, then visits Debbie’s grave and collects a “present” from her old cellmate—meant for her husband.
