Dronacharya tells both the Kauravas and the Pandavas that he and Ashwatthama will not take part in the upcoming war. He also denies Karna the chance to join the fight. Meanwhile, Ashwatthama reveals to Duryodhan that Drupad's commander possesses immortality.
