Judge John Deed

Overview
Judge John Deed, a British legal drama from the BBC, stars Martin Shaw as Sir John Deed, a High Court judge dedicated to pursuing true justice. Alongside him is Jenny Seagrove as Jo Mills, a barrister and frequent object of Deed's affections. Premiering with a pilot on January 9, 2001, the series ran for six seasons, concluding on January 18, 2007. Though it became the longest-running BBC legal drama, its portrayal of the legal system faced criticism for inaccuracies, prompting a judge to caution juries against its influence. The entire series is available on DVD in the UK.
