Title: Pilot (1) Plot: Darien Fawkes, a skilled con artist, finds himself behind bars for the third time. To avoid the harsh consequences of California's three-strike law, he opts to participate in an experimental procedure devised by his brother, Kevin. Together with scientist Arnaud, they implant a synthetic gland in Darien that produces "Quicksilver," a substance capable of bending light. As Darien grapples with his new reality, he discovers that excessive Quicksilver can lead to madness. While he learns to harness his newfound powers, he uncovers Arnaud's sinister intentions. When Arnaud's mercenaries raid the lab, leaving everyone dead but Darien, he seeks help from his ex-girlfriend, a doctor who is skeptical of his claims.
