Episode Overview
A ceasefire is declared, allowing Schneizel to meet with the Black Knights' leaders—but Lelouch, shattered, cannot attend. Schneizel exposes Lelouch's Geass and the countless people he has manipulated, backing his claims with a recording of Lelouch's conversation with Suzaku. In return for Japan's freedom, the Black Knights agree to betray him. Trapped, Lelouch tells Kallen he only used her to protect her from his fate, then softly whispers for her to live on. He prepares to die, but Rolo pilots the Shinkirō to rescue him, escaping both the Black Knights and Britannians. However, overusing his Geass destroys Rolo's heart, and he dies after carrying Lelouch to safety. Vowing not to waste Rolo's sacrifice, Lelouch swears to kill the Emperor himself.
