Episode Overview

Alison discovers that Steve is set to leave for Europe soon. He surprises her with a new jeep and opens up about his feelings for her. Alison spends a weekend at his ranch but ultimately breaks things off, deciding she wants to get back together with Billy. Meanwhile, Billy's resentment towards Alison affects his performance on a writing project. Jake pressures Palmer into admitting his fraud on camera, but Palmer twists the situation, convincing Amanda that Jake is the real villain, leading her to break up with Jake and scheme to kick him out. Michael tumbles out of bed, and Sydney refuses to assist him until he apologizes for his past behavior. Jo turns down Jake's obvious flirtation, while Billy and Amanda end up sleeping together.
