Overview
Ralph Lamb seeks a quiet life managing his ranch, but the influx of outsiders and rampant corruption threaten his tranquility in Las Vegas. The Mayor, remembering Lamb's leadership as a military police officer in World War II, enlists his help to investigate the murder of a casino employee. This request sets off a fierce confrontation between Lamb and Vincent Savino, a cunning gangster from Chicago with ambitions to dominate the burgeoning city. As Lamb navigates the treacherous landscape of crime, he must confront both Savino and the changing world around him.
