Overview
Set against the backdrop of 1961 Madrid, Ana Mari is a single, disabled woman deeply entrenched in Francoist ideals, serving as an instructor in the Sección Femenina. Tasked by dictator Franco himself, she takes a job as a maid in the home of iconic actress Ava Gardner. While feigning a marriage to Manolo, a cunning hustler who becomes Gardner’s driver, Ana navigates a web of espionage and personal struggles, all while balancing her duties to the regime and her own ambitions.
