When Archie discovers that his father is contemplating a run for mayor in Riverdale, he worries that the Lodges might be using Fred as a pawn in their game. At the same time, Betty becomes more and more wary of Chic’s odd actions and recruits Kevin to uncover what he's keeping from them. Meanwhile, Cheryl and Penelope are taken aback when they find out that Clifford had a hidden will. In a parallel storyline, Jughead makes a significant breakthrough in his efforts to bring Hiram down.
