Overview
In Cape Town, police captain Mat Joubert was once a top investigator, known for cracking every case and catching every criminal. That was before his wife, Lara, was killed while undercover a year ago. Since then, Mat has spiraled downwards, grappling with a foggy memory of the events surrounding her death. Now, he’s a chain-smoking shell of his former self, indifferent to the crime-plagued city he used to protect. As Mat starts to confront the demons of his past, he realizes that to put an end to the violence in his current cases, he must revisit the harrowing details of Lara's murder.
