Episode Overview
Gee heads upstairs to meet with Barnfather, sparking speculation among the team about who will fill the vacant Captain's role. Meanwhile, Lewis and Kellerman travel to Pennsylvania to bring back a woman suspected of murdering her husband. Munch digs through Brodie's collection for a crucial videotape, but upon viewing it, he realizes it lacks vital evidence. Despite Munch's wishes to erase it, Brodie presents the tape in court, leading to the unfavorable outcome Munch anticipated. On their way back from Harrisburg, Kellerman persuades Lewis to stop at Neptune's Castle, allowing the suspect to slip away. They eventually track her down at the home of her late husband's mistress, where she delivers a hat. In a surprising twist, Gaffney is appointed Captain over Gee, and he firmly establishes new rules.
