Vernon leads groups through Ashfordly Hall, but during one of the tours, a priceless painting goes missing. A journalist, having previously snapped a picture of Ventress dozing off while on the job, reveals the photo later. When Ventress and Blaketon examine the image, they identify the thief—someone with a notorious reputation for stealing.
