Title: Confronting Shadows Plot: Henry Stoddard, a man recently freed from prison after serving time for murder, finds himself at the center of suspicion as a series of vandalism incidents erupt in town. Residents quickly jump to conclusions, believing he is behind the mischief. However, when Stoddard maintains his innocence regarding the death of PC Machin, Walker decides to revisit the old case, determined to prevent Machin's son from seeking vengeance. In the midst of this turmoil, Peggy seizes an opportunity for profit when a birth certificate hints at her connection to Lord Ashfordly.
