Episode Overview
Title: Blood Sports Plot: In Aidensfield, a father has taken his son from his wife, only for the boy to fall ill with polio. A mass vaccination is organized, and when the child is admitted to the hospital, the father flees. However, Nick suspects he won't stray far, fearing for his son's health. Soon, it’s revealed that the father is also afflicted with polio and is located just in time. The mother, who hired a private investigator to track down her son, confesses her role in pushing her husband to abduct their child. Meanwhile, Blaketon has taken on the role of president of the rugby club, while Phil plays on the team. Greengrass attempts to be a talent scout, but his efforts fail. Nick's attention shifts to Jo, the new school teacher, indicating a budding interest.
