Overview
Quark, a quirky sci-fi comedy featuring Richard Benjamin, aired on NBC beginning May 7, 1977, as a mid-season replacement in February 1978, before its cancellation in April. Created by Buck Henry, known for Get Smart, the show is set aboard the United Galaxy Sanitation Patrol Cruiser in 2226, where Adam Quark and his eccentric crew tackle the challenges of interstellar waste disposal. With a humorous nod to classics like Star Wars and Star Trek, Quark earned an Emmy nomination for costume design. The complete series was released on DVD on October 14, 2008.
