Doug and Carol contemplate the prospect of becoming parents when Carol suspects she might be pregnant. In another part of the hospital, Carol and Lynette struggle to prevent a wounded gang member from leaving to seek revenge. Lucy faces Carter's frustration when he discovers her lack of knowledge about starting an IV. Additionally, Jeanie approaches Doug with a request to become a full-time PA in the pediatric ER.
