Charlotte and Isobel go to the prison to see Patience, informing her that she will have the best defense attorney available. Job presents George and Agnes with the official union vehicle, which turns out to be a tandem bike. When Bradley declines to cover the costs for Patience’s defense, Isobel steps in, offering to pay for Marshall Snelgrove’s services. Meanwhile, Agnes confides in Austin about her determination to continue with her election campaign. Guy shares with Morris that Moscow has an interest in Hesketh participating in the Spanish Civil War.
