At the same time, Fiona learns that her mother is facing legal issues, resulting in their assets being frozen. Clare has committed to launching a school newspaper in just a week, which forces her to mend fences with some former friends. Meanwhile, Maya, a talented cellist, struggles to find her place within the Grade 9 band.
