Episode Overview

In a unique program, inmates in Maryland expose a group of five troubled teenagers to life behind bars by making them experience "Lock-up Loaf," a hard lump of baked mush typically served to misbehaving prisoners. Among the teens are Shane, 17, a redneck who’s astonished he hasn’t harmed anyone; Garrett, 13, who has already been expelled from eight different schools; Brandy, 16, who ditches classes to smoke pot; her protective brother Shawn, 15; and Richard, 18, a tall jock who often drinks to the point of blacking out, only to wake up bruised from fights.
