Episode Overview

In a press conference held at the Government Offices in Stockholm, Prime Minister Thorbjörn sends a wave of unease through the audience when he discloses that the submarine carries nuclear warheads. He and Soviet Ambassador Aleksandra Kosygina finally begin to untangle the complex situation, but time is running short to extract the submarine from the reef before tensions escalate. NATO forces have arrived in the region, while the Russian fleet stands ready to strike, spurred on by a tipsy Brezhnev. Meanwhile, a mutiny unfolds aboard the submarine, heightening the already suffocating tension as the world watches anxiously.
