Episode Overview

Doug finds himself in jeopardy of facing criminal charges following Ricky Abbott's death, which occurs after Ross overrides safety protocols, allowing Joi to administer a fatal amount of dilaudid. As a result, Doug is reassigned to desk duty, and Carol's clinic is temporarily closed due to the acquisition of the P.C.A. machine for Ricky. Meanwhile, Greene and Weaver are confronted with potential disciplinary measures for failing to report Doug's interference with the double-blind study. Additionally, Carter and Lucy begin to explore their growing attraction, while Benton dedicates time to learning sign language with an instructor.
