Heartbeat (2016) S02E05 - Halloween Candy

Episode Overview

An irritable old man, who despises Halloween, is left in charge of handing out candy while his son is away. At first, he ignores the trick-or-treaters, but soon he maliciously fills their bags with a mix of syrup and cleaning fluid. Content, he settles into his armchair to watch TV, until a goblin-like being appears at his door, persistently demanding candy. In a panic, he locks himself inside, only to realize he can't make any phone calls with the creature lurking outside. Gathering his courage, he steps onto the porch, only to find the goblin has vanished. As he returns indoors and pulls the curtain shut, he is startled to discover the creature right behind him, once more asking for candy. Terrified, he collapses to the floor.
