Renowned director Roy Randolph arrives at C.U. to oversee the campus staging of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Brenda intends to audition for the lead role, with Kelly assisting her in practice. Brenda also motivates Kelly to go for a smaller part, but Roy surprises her by suggesting she try out for the lead instead. Meanwhile, Steve helps Laura prepare for her audition, hoping she’ll finally get her big break. Clare relentlessly pursues Brandon, even showing up at his house to handcuff herself to his bed while his parents are away. Dylan urges Erica to warm up to her mother’s new boyfriend, Kevin, even saving him from an oncoming bus. Although Andrea is given a clean bill of health, she remains anxious about her pregnancy. David scolds Donna for not training her puppy properly.
