Mary-Jane Layden, an aspiring author, was led to believe her writing agent would secure a publishing deal for her book, "Love Tides." However, he demanded an additional $2,500, despite her previous payment of $12,000. Tensions escalated into a heated argument, culminating in the agent pushing Mary-Jane to the ground, resulting in her untimely death. In a panic, he concealed her body among the plants in the office and fled the scene, leaving the truth buried alongside her.
