As the Miss Gungellan ball approaches, Meg grapples with a tough choice: remain in the place she cherishes or leave with the man she adores. Jodi is thrilled at the prospect of joining her father and is ecstatic when Meg decides to take a leap of faith. The women at Drovers revel in the chance to dress up for the highlight of Gungellan’s social scene. Jodi is crowned Miss Gungellan, but to everyone's shock and Liz's dismay, she relinquishes the title to venture north with her father and Meg. Meanwhile, doubts begin to creep in for both Meg and Kevin.
