Six months have passed since the battle of Kattegat, and Bjorn has ascended to the throne as king. However, he finds himself grappling with the heavy burdens of leadership, feeling unable to turn to his mother for support. Meanwhile, Ivar has been captured by the Kievan Rus, where he encounters the cunning and volatile Prince Oleg, who could prove to be more formidable than anyone he has faced before.
