Sergeant Holly, a hard-drinking veteran on the brink of retirement, finds himself in a precarious situation. Just hours before his departure, an Apache prisoner under his watch manages to escape, taking Kitty hostage in the process. In a desperate bid to reclaim the prisoner and rescue Kitty, the Sergeant makes the decision to go AWOL, plunging into a chaotic race against time.
