Episode Overview

Title: Jason B. Plot: Growing up in an apparently ideal upper-middle-class home in Littleton, Colorado, Jason struggled to earn his father's validation. The disappointment of not making the baseball team during his freshman year hit both him and his father hard. Although Jason found success in rollerblading, he abandoned it due to his father’s disapproval. This led him down a dark path of substance abuse, and by senior year, he was heavily addicted. A year later, the Columbine shooters identified Jason as one of their targets for revenge, filling him with guilt and sorrow over his fallen classmates. This only worsened his addiction, leaving him homeless in Denver and his family shattered.
