On April 10, 1995, in Aurora, Colorado, 15-year-old Curtis was one of four teenagers implicated in the death of Christopher during their car theft attempt. As a result, Curtis received a life sentence without the possibility of parole. After serving 23 years in prison, he has been given the chance for a resentencing, which may lead to his eventual release.
