Episode Overview
Ren is thrilled to learn that her braces will be removed just in time for her 8th-grade school photo. After the dentist takes them off, he informs her of a minor infection and prescribes medication with "mild side effects." Feeling beautiful, Ren rushes to school for her picture. However, the uninterested photographer fails to mention her swollen cheeks. As she walks through the halls, her classmates gawk and laugh at her until Louis shows her a mirror, leaving her mortified. She frantically seeks out the photographer, Mr. Krapezi, but he tells her a reshoot requires the principal's approval. Confident Principal Wexler will help, Ren later finds he won’t budge, as her swelling has subsided. Back home, Louis reveals the awful yearbook photo, prompting Ren’s mom to encourage her to stage a protest, just like she did in college. Determined, Ren plans a demonstration.
