Episode Overview

Kikyo comes back to life when Kagome's soul merges with hers. Initially, she attempts to kill Inuyasha, but Kagome reclaims her soul just in time. Flashing back fifty years, Kikyo had wished for Inuyasha to use the Shikon Jewel to become human, but on the day they were supposed to fulfill that promise, a figure resembling Inuyasha inflicted a fatal wound on her. Inuyasha comes to the unsettling realization that a hidden figure orchestrated the conflict between them.
