The owner of a neighboring elderly home accuses Brown of poaching her resident, Daisy LaRue. Daisy prefers Brown’s care and opts to stay. Cora attempts to inform Brown about Daisy's peculiar behaviors, but he dismisses her concerns. Brown's nephew, Will, visits to remind him that caring for the elderly can be challenging, but Brown remains confident that attracting more residents like Daisy will be easy. To draw in new clients, he plans a bingo night with a trip to Brown Meadows as the prize. Unfortunately, the event flops, and Daisy's bounced check leaves Brown financially strained. When a fire occurs at a nearby facility, Brown hopes for a windfall of new residents, but is disappointed when families arrive to collect their loved ones, leaving him with only Ms. Edna and Colonel Jackson.
