Exiled warrior Obusuma Sabur? confides in fellow exile Shiraishi, asserting they have no obligation to protect Tsushima. Concurrently, Nagamine informs Jinzabur? that the Toibarai will staunchly defend their fortress, despite being outnumbered. After a sparring match with some Toibarai fighters, Jinzabur? vows to assist in their defense. Meanwhile, Obusuma reveals his pass to Shiraishi, allowing access to the Mongols, but upon Shiraishi's refusal to join him, Obusuma is killed out of distrust, and Shiraishi seizes the pass. In the Mongol camp, commanders express frustration over the missing Japanese, while Obusuma Uriyan Edei agrees to hunt them down only with confirmed intel. Back on the mainland, the Chikuzen Dazaifu Magistrate Fortress prepares to send reinforcements to Tsushima, though doubts linger
