Episode Overview

A young man attempts to pressure the niece of a gold prospector—who is also Barnaby's goddaughter—into marrying him after discovering that she stands to inherit the land where his gold mine is situated. Barnaby, however, grows suspicious and begins to think that the young man may have killed her uncle.
