Overview
An ordinary American family finds themselves engulfed in the political turbulence of a Middle Eastern country. Bassam "Barry" Al Fayeed, the son of a despotic leader, breaks a two-decade self-imposed exile to attend his nephew’s wedding. Accompanied by his American wife and children, Barry’s return sparks a fierce cultural confrontation as he navigates the complicated dynamics of his family and the volatile politics of his homeland. As old loyalties and resentments resurface, Barry must confront the legacy of his past while reconciling his present.
