Episode Overview

Noticing some kids having fun with balloons in the street, Mr. Benn feels inspired to visit the costume shop. After putting on a dapper suit and top hat, he finds himself among a crowd gathered for a hot air balloon race. Spotting a contestant flying solo, Mr. Benn volunteers to join him, but the man warns that they might be up against a cheat named Baron Bartrum. As the race begins, only the Baron's balloon takes off successfully, while the others, including Mr. Benn's, are sabotaged—his being tied to a drainpipe. Determined to teach the Baron a lesson, Mr. Benn sets out to prove that cheating doesn’t pay off.
