Episode Overview

In May 1975, eight-year-old Darren and churchwarden Miss Wharton stumble upon two lifeless bodies in the vestry of St Matthew’s Church in Paddington, both with their throats cut. One victim is Sir Paul Berowne, a baronet and former Tory MP who recently stepped down; the other is a homeless man named Harry Mack. The case draws the attention of Dalgliesh, who arrives to investigate with DS Masterson and his newly assigned partner, DS Kate Miskin.
