Episode Overview

After losing her job as a prominent patent lawyer, Harriet Korn embarks on a fresh start by launching her own legal practice. With the support of her cheerful assistant, Jenna, she establishes her office in a run-down shoe store located in a tough neighborhood of Cincinnati. Her inaugural case involves defending Malcolm Davies, a young man grappling with his third drug charge. At the same time, ambitious attorney Adam Branch becomes part of the firm, representing a "private security officer" who shot a man during a laundromat robbery attempt.
