Overview

Children's Ward, a British drama series produced by Granada Television, aired on ITV's Children's ITV from 1989 to 2000. Set in the fictional Ward B1 of South Park Hospital, it explored the lives of young patients and the dedicated staff caring for them. Aimed at older children and teens, the show originated from the Dramarama anthology with an episode written by Paul Abbott and Kay Mellor, who later became acclaimed adult drama writers. Throughout its run, Children's Ward tackled challenging topics like cancer and abuse, earning accolades, including a BAFTA Children's Award for an episode featuring a chilling online predator.
