Episode Overview

Merlin is shocked when his mother, Hunith, arrives in Camelot looking hurt and pleading for Uther's assistance. She reveals that a bandit named Kanen and his gang have been terrorizing her village, threatening to kill the villagers unless they surrender their entire harvest. Uther's refusal to help pushes Merlin to leave Camelot in order to safeguard his mother and her friends. To his astonishment, Arthur, Morgana, and Gwen decide to accompany him on this mission to rescue the village—though the consequences of their actions remain uncertain.
