Episode Overview

A renowned psychiatrist leverages a visit to his own physician as a cover while he contacts his residence, where his wife's paramour lies dead. This call initiates a behavioral conditioning process involving his dogs, linked to the last word spoken by the victim: Rosebud. Upon Columbo's investigation, the psychiatrist appears remarkably sympathetic when officers mention the possibility of euthanizing his pets.
