Day 5 S02E20 - Jack's Old Partner

Episode Overview

As Jack immerses himself in writing his memoirs, he is abruptly hit by a severe case of writer's block. The cause becomes clear when he reaches the chapter about firing his former partner, Herb, just before Blush's success. Learning that Herb has spent the last 30 years struggling in a toyshop in Connecticut amplifies Jack's guilt. In a bid to make amends, Jack offers Herb a prominent position at the magazine, only to remember why he let him go—Herb proves to be inept at the business. Meanwhile, Nina seems to escape her IRS audit troubles when the female auditor becomes infatuated with Elliott, but complications are just beginning.
