Scrapheap Challenge
Overview
Scrapheap Challenge, an innovative engineering competition from RDF Media, aired on Channel 4 in the UK. Contestants form teams and have just 10 hours to construct a functional machine from scrap materials, tackling specific challenges. The engaging format captured audiences and was adapted in the United States as Junkyard Wars, also produced by RDF Media. Initially broadcast on The Learning Channel, the American version has since found a home in reruns on the Science Channel, continuing to inspire DIY enthusiasts and engineering fans alike.
