Episode Overview

Catherine takes the stand in a murder trial where a man is charged with killing his mother three years prior, but the jury acquits him. Despite his acquittal, Catherine is convinced of his guilt and suspects he may be responsible for two additional murders. Determined to uncover the truth, she begins her investigation into the other victims. Meanwhile, Grissom is getting ready to embark on a four-week sabbatical.
