Totems

Overview
Amidst the tensions of the Cold War in 1965, Totems centers on Francis Mareuil, a French scientist who becomes embroiled in espionage. As he collaborates with both the French Secret Service and the CIA, he encounters Lyudmila Goloubeva, a talented pianist coerced into service for the KGB. Their budding romance complicates further as they navigate a world where genuine emotions blur with political agendas, leaving them questioning the authenticity of their connection. The series masterfully intertwines personal stakes with the high-stakes environment of espionage.
