Episode Overview
Noel, feeling overwhelmed, pulls away from Ruby. Meanwhile, Ben joins Noel's philosophy class after Dr. Pavone suggests it. He reveals to Noel that he failed to support a girl during her pregnancy in high school and warns him against making choices he might regret. Inspired, Noel resolves to be more involved in his child's life. The ultrasound shows that Ruby is eight weeks along, leading Noel to realize he can’t be the father. Ruby admits to having an affair with a producer while in Los Angeles, reminding Noel they weren't officially together then and asking for a second chance. Elena hosts a party to repaint the apartment, but the noise frustrates Noel as he tries to relax in his room. Julie shares her struggles with Sean about her experience with date rape, expressing that she hasn’t fully healed. He encourages her to consider counseling. Felicity attempts to get Greg to show the same compassion with staff as he does with his patients.
