Roofing contractor Mark McNicholas demonstrates to Norm how his team is installing traditional black 3-tab shingles for a sleek roofline. Meanwhile, chimney expert Mark Schaub collaborates with Tom and Roger to design and set up a new fieldstone hearth in the barn. Outside, Roger skillfully cuts a massive 500-pound stone, while Tom measures the wood sub-floor for the hearth's fit. Carpentry apprentices Joe Langlais and Laura Cyr begin placing pre-finished cedar shingles on the barn. Kevin also visits Minuteman Regional High School to observe the apprentices’ training.
