Fame

Overview
Fame, airing from 1982 to 1987, captivated audiences with its blend of drama and music, portraying the lives of students and teachers at the New York City High School for the Performing Arts. Inspired by the 1980 film, the show drew heavily from the real-life Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. While most interiors were shot in Hollywood, many exterior scenes showcased the vibrant streets of New York City, except for the third season. The series gained significant popularity, particularly in the UK, spawning hit records and concert tours, though few cast members achieved lasting fame post-cancellation. A reunion special aired in 2008.
