The Flying Doctors
Overview
Set against the backdrop of the Australian outback, The Flying Doctors follows the dedicated team of the Royal Flying Doctor Service as they tackle life-and-death situations in the fictional town of Cooper's Crossing. Initially launched as a mini-series in 1985, it featured Andrew McFarlane as Dr. Tom Callaghan. Following its success, it transitioned into a full series in 1986, introducing Liz Burch as Dr. Chris Randall and later Robert Grubb as Dr. Geoff Standish. With a mix of standalone episodes and ongoing narratives, including a romance between Dr. Standish and Sister Kate Wellings, the show captivated audiences for nine seasons, gaining international acclaim.
